Pastor Sam Allen

Sam placed his faith in God through his only Son, Jesus, at the age of 6, at Calvary Baptist Church in Athens, PA.

Sam grew up in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Texas. It was in Texas, at the University of North Texas, that Sam met and eventually married the love of his life, Lilah, in 2003. They are proud parents of Viana, Mathias, Reuben, and Zekiah!

Shortly after marriage, Sam joined the US Air Force, serving as a crew member on the world’s greatest bomber, the B-52 Stratofortress, for over 20 years! In 2016 God called Sam to future full-time ministry, and he began attending Dallas Theological Seminary that fall, graduating in spring of 2024 with a Master of Theology (ThM) degree.

In October of 2024, God called Sam to pastor CBC of Kenai. Sam’s passions in ministry include – exegetical preaching/teaching, mentorship and discipleship, leader development, and marriage and biblical sexuality ministry.

Sam enjoys spending time with his kids, coaching and playing sports, fishing, RVing, cooking, and going on dates/trips with Lilah!

DONOVAN SMITH

Donovan grew up Calvary and has enjoyed opportunities to serve throughout that time. He currently serves on the worship team, leads a young adult Bible Study, helps with youth events, and assists with church Treasurer duties.

dAN HARKLEROAD

Dan and his family have been attending Calvary since 2013. His wife Shawna is heavily involved in the music Ministry while Dan teaches adult Sunday School and fills in in for Wednesday night Bible study. Dan loves how family oriented Calvary Baptist is.

kylor schultz

Kylor and his family have been at Calvary for the past 9 years. He is married to Tabitha, and they have 5 children. Kylor is one of the adult Sunday School teachers, and he helps lead a young adult Bible study.
